Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching

  • Coaching is a collaborative conversation focused on clarity, awareness, and forward movement. It’s a space to slow down, think things through, and understand what’s shaping your
choices—especially when you feel stuck or caught in familiar patterns.

This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you see more clearly so change can happen
in ways that feel natural and sustainable.

  • Coaching and therapy serve different purposes.

Therapy often focuses on healing past trauma, diagnosing mental health conditions, or treating
emotional distress. Coaching is forward-focused and reflective, centered on awareness,
    choice, and intentional change.

While my background includes education in psychology and social work, I offer coaching—not therapy—and do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

  • No. Many people come to coaching with a general sense of frustration, repetition, or
uncertainty rather than a clear goal.

We can begin with whatever feels present for you and let clarity unfold from there.

  • This work is calm and unhurried—but many people are surprised by how quickly clarity can
emerge once they have the right kind of space and attention.

Change doesn’t happen because we push for it.

It happens because seeing things clearly often shifts what’s possible sooner than expected.

  • Getting started is simple.
If you feel drawn to this work, the next step is to book a session.

We’ll begin with a conversation — not a commitment to a long process.
From there, we can see what feels supportive and decide how (or if) you’d like to continue working together.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before you begin.

  • Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy practice that supports relaxation and a sense of overall well-being. During a session, light touch—or hands held just above the body—is used to encourage calm and ease. It's a quiet, restful experience. Many people describe feeling deeply settled during and after.

  • No prior belief is required. Reiki is offered as a supportive practice, and many people who arrive with skepticism still find it genuinely relaxing. You don't need to hold any particular view to receive it—just a willingness to rest and be present.

  • Sessions take place with you fully clothed, lying comfortably. Light touch may be used at various points, or hands may be held just above the body—whichever feels more comfortable to you. The session is quiet and unhurried. Afterward, most people feel relaxed and settled.

  • No. Reiki is a complementary practice and is not a replacement for medical treatment, diagnosis, or professional mental health care. It's offered as a gentle resource alongside whatever other care you're already receiving.

  • Reiki can be supportive during times of stress, transition, grief, recovery, or simply when rest and restoration are needed. It's available to anyone who feels drawn to it, regardless of background or belief.

Spiritual Care

  • Spiritual care is a form of compassionate accompaniment for people navigating questions of meaning, purpose, loss, or major life transitions. It isn't tied to any religion or doctrine—it's a space to sit with what matters most and be heard without judgment.

  • Not at all. Spiritual care is open to people of any belief system—including those who don't consider themselves religious or spiritual. The focus is on what carries meaning for you, whatever form that takes.

  • Coaching tends to focus on patterns, choices, and forward movement. Spiritual care is more contemplative—it's about sitting with deeper questions, grief, or transitions that go beyond strategy or problem-solving. The two can complement each other, but they serve different needs.

  • People often seek spiritual care during times of loss, illness, major life changes, or when they find themselves asking larger questions about meaning and direction. It can also simply be a space for reflection when life feels heavy and a quiet, non-judgmental presence would help.

Ministerial Services

  • Available ceremonies include weddings and elopements, funerals and memorial services, baby blessings and naming ceremonies, and vow renewals.

  • Yes. I am an ordained minister and legally authorized to officiate wedding ceremonies, memorial services, and other life ceremonies.

  • Each ceremony is created in partnership with the people involved. We begin with a conversation about what matters most to you—your values, relationships, and the meaning you want the ceremony to carry. From there, I draft a ceremony for your review, and we refine it together until it feels right.

  • Absolutely. Ceremonies are built around what is meaningful to you, not a predetermined script. Whether you want something entirely secular, spiritually grounded, or somewhere in between, the ceremony reflects your wishes.

  • No. Ceremonies can be held wherever feels most meaningful to you—a backyard, a park, a venue, a beach, or any setting that fits the moment. There is no requirement for a religious space.

  • That's completely fine. A conversation is always the starting point—not a completed plan. We can talk through what the moment means to you and let the shape of the ceremony emerge from there.
